Simply drinking water in the summer isn’t enough to keep your whole body healthy and happy. You may not notice, but a lot of the water that leaves your body when it’s hot out does so through your largest organ. That’s your skin, and yes I mean sweat. The more water that leaves our bodies, the more dehydrated our cells get, and it takes more than drinking water to rehydrate them in a hurry.
We all know to take care of our skin and keep it hydrated in the winter because it’s noticeably dry, itchy, and flaky. The summer is a different story because we think that heavily tanned semi-shiny skin is what’s attractive and healthy. What makes skin REALLY great is when it doesn’t prematurely age because of over-exposure to harmful ultraviolet rays.
What makes a well-sun screened day at the beach so great? First of all, the sun is an extremely important part of our body’s ability to produce vitamin D (important for healthy bones, neuromuscles, and cell health), so a healthy amount of exposure to sunlight is wonderful for the health of our bodies. When you’re going out to the beach for a day with your family or friends make sure you bring sun block. And not a dinky dollar bottle of SPF8, make sure you purchase a sun block that is at least water-resistant (good for 40 minutes of water-activities), if not water-proof (80 minutes of sweating or splashing). Find a sun block that cuts out UVA and UVB rays, and one that won’t clog your pores. Try spraying Haeru on exposed skin and letting it soak in (no rubbing!) before applying sun block (rub this in). This will help prep your skin cells for being in the sun and hydrate them so that they won’t soak up the oils in the sun block.
Another reason a day at the beach is so fantastic for your skin is because the sand is a natural exfoliant. It’s very important to exfoliate your skin throughout the year, but especially in the summer when more of your skin is exposed to pollutants and other pore-cloggers. Think of your pores like your arteries, you eat healthy foods to help soak up the bad fats that stick in your arteries just like you exfoliate to get the pore clogging dirt out of your pores.
It’s a crucial step in skin care to moisturize, especially after you exfoliate (even when it’s just from sand being on your legs). After a day at the beach make sure you wash with a moisturizing soap or body wash, pat your skin dry (moisturizing when your skin is slightly damp ensures more water will be retained by your skin cells and that your skin will remain at a warm temperature for longer, which keeps your pores open and more absorbent.)
The final reason that a day at the beach makes you feel good (besides the endorphins!) is that a lot of the nutrients and vitamins found in your skin and body are also found in ocean water! Since your skin cells have the amazing ability to absorb what they need to be healthy from water, being in the ocean has the effect of rejuvenating and hydrating your skin cells. Using c’watre products has this effect, but quicker and without the pollutants that your skin can absorb from the ocean. Plus you don’t have to pack up the kids and a suitcase of inflatable toys.
A great summer regime for your face is to wash with Kanreki face wash using a soft wash cloth and warm water (this will help open your pores and loosen the dirt in them), then splash your skin with warm water. Pat your skin so that it’s still slightly damp (don’t rub it dry!) with a towel and spritz your face with a few sprays of Haeru Activating Ageless Serum (just so it’s moist). Let the Haeru air dry so it soaks into your skin. Follow up with a dab of Kenreki Cream and your favorite sun block (I like to mix a dime sized amount of cream with an oil-free sun block of SPF 15 or higher in the palm of my hand and apply them together as one step, but you can always layer the sun block over the Cream) and your skin will be both rejuvenated and ready for the sun.
Remember that these steps are great for your face and neck but can also be applied to any of your skin!
ALREADY LOOKING BETTER!
I’m two days in to this dry heel recovery challenge and I thought I should update people with the progress. After all… most people are concerned with immediate results. So, I thought it would be best to show everyone what is going on Now. So I headed outside again and snapped a couple of pics this morning.
MY REGIMEN
Before I get to the photos, I want to give a quick update on what I have been doing. I’ve been applying Kanreki Cream to my heels twice a day. Once in the morning after I hop out of the shower and once more when I climb into bed. For anyone else out there trying to follow the same procedure, I am using 2 pumps of the retail cream on each heel, for each application. I started with just one and my poor dry heels just absorbed it all so quickly that I added the second pump to work on some serious repair.
- 2 pumps per heel of Kanreki Cream in the morning
- 2 pumps per heel of Kanreki Cream each evening
THE UPDATE!
Here is my right heel again. As you can see the majority of the dry scaly skin has been moisturized and healed. The treatment that has already succeeded makes it very easy to see the most severe damage to the skin along the lower part of my heel with the dry flakes that remain still. I want to remind everyone that I have not scrubbed or used a pumice on my heels – this is just the result of Kanreki Cream alone.

This next photo is my left heel and as you will recall it was the one that had the big crack that was nearly ready to break the skin. you can see what really appear to be much more dramatic results on my left heel. The crack, while still there, is already less than half its original size. You can really see how the nutrient base in Kanreki Cream is helping to repair the damaged cells and heal my skin’s structure, not simply to moisturize the scaly, flaky surface.

I am so impressed with the results so far that I think I will update again in another 2 days and show people what can be done in less than a week! I’ll also update any adjustments in my use of Kanreki Cream (in case I decide to drop down to 1 pump per heel).
I recently bumped into Paula online in Twitter. Paula has a blog, Older Girl Beauty, which I thought was a great site for women (like me) who are starting to experience some subtle or dramatic changes in our skin as we move through our 30s. I could go into these changes in much greater detail… and I think I should, but it will have to wait for a later post. This is about being inspired by Paula’s idea to test just how great our Kanreki Cream is for dry skin!
Paula confided that her heels were in a bit of a state and she boldly decided to share her “heel rehabilitation” with her readers. It’s great! Paula snapped a before shot and will be applying Kanreki Cream to her heels and charting their recovery.
UNTREATED, UNCARED FOR SKIN
I looked at Paula’s post and then took a good look at my own heels. I am sorry to say that I think mine are much worse. And how awfully embarrassing given my position with C’watre! I have long preached to ALL how wonderful and powerful Kanreki Cream is for treating troubled skin. We have even shared on this blog the stories of people with extreme eczema and psoriasis and how they have found relief with Kanreki products.
I quickly sent Paula a message and told her that I was so excited about her idea that I was going to join her in her challenge. Of course, I already know that the nutrient rich ocean water filled with trace minerals and the plentiful antioxidants and moisturizers will do wonders for my dry, cracked, scaly, untreated heels. But I’m going to take lots of pictures along the way and try to give everyone a real appreciation of how well this treatment works.
THE UGLY BEGINNING
I am sharing images of both of my heels. Below is a picture of my right heel that I took this morning. You can see that it has clearly been ages since my heels have seen a buffer, let alone a pedicure. But I want to be completely open about this, so I intentionally did not rummage through my bins in the bathroom to dig out a pumice.

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!
As sad as my right heel is, my left is actually worse. When I got a good look at my left heel I spotted a large looming crack that is clearly very close to breaking the skin. I share this one with a little more embarrassment than the right heel. But also I want everyone to take a look at your own heels and remember that strappy sandal season is fast approaching.

JOIN THE CHALLENGE!
If you took a look at your heels like I did, you may find that you need to join this challenge yourself. I don’t blame you! Indeed, I want to encourage you! So, for the next month, while Paula and I are tracking our progress C’watre is going to give everyone 15% off of Kanreki Cream. You will need to type in a promo code on our eShop. When you get to checkout, enter CREAM15, and it will automatically give you a 15% reduction on the Kanreki Cream in your cart.
If pick up Kanreki Cream, or use the bottle you already have, to participate in this challenge – please comment here or on Paula’s blog! We’d love to hear how you’re doing!
TREATMENT FOR SKIN RASH, 36 HOURS TO CLEAR SKIN
HAERU Activating Ageless Serum was used to treat razor-burn and painful skin irritation. HAERU was misted on the affected area 2 times a day and impressive results were seen in 36 hours. Painful irritation was gone in a day and visual skin improvement was seen in the second day.

“Redness and discomfort disappeared almost immediately after I applied Haeru Activating Ageless Serum. After the third application – 36 hours later – the skin rash was gone. It was really amazing. I use it all the time now to prevent any outbreaks.” -Rob, 32, Baltimore, MD
RECOMMENDATION:
Treat and prevent skin irritation by fortifying skin cells with the nutrients cells crave. Use Haeru Activating Ageless Serum, an intensive nourishing mist, after cleansing and anytime skin is irritated. For best results use with C’watre’s Kanreki Wash and a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Masaro Emoto discovered, and others have since followed, the connection between water and words.
His work provides factual evidence that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, and idead affect the molecular structure of water, the very same water that comprises over 70% of our body.
Since c’watre’s inception, the ocean water that goes into our products has been blessed with gratitude and love. All of our products recieve this message throughout the entire manufacturing process. We continue to bless each product by strategically placing “gratitude and love” in the packaging focused towards each product, delivering this message until you use the last drop.
