Robert L. Lyles, III - Chairman
As a long-time member of Sigma Xi, the prestigious international honor society of science and engineering, Mr, Lyles is actively involved in innovative environmental research and sustainable business practices. Starting in 1999, Mr. Lyles founded Tandem Technologies, Inc. which has been dedicated to improving the marine ecosystem and human health. He has served as President and CEO of Tandem Technologies, Inc. since 1999. In 2005, Mr. Lyles co-founded C’watre, LLC and served as Managing Member until taking the company public with C’watre International, Inc. in 2007. Mr. Lyles, a proven leader in environmental business, firmly embraces the idea that a successful company must start with a superior product but must also practice social responsibility.
Mr. Lyles also serves as a director for the White Door Foundation. Previous experiences include scientific research at Johns Hopkins University and National Institutes of Health. Mr. Lyles received his B.A. degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Kenyon College and completed the Entrepreneurship Development Program at the Sloan School of Management, MIT and the Program on Negotiation with the Harvard and MIT Business Schools.
Emily Durham - Chief Marketing Officer
Ms. Durham is a member of Cosmetic Executive Women and is also a 4th generation Japanese-American, honored to have served on several Board positions with the Japanese American Citizens League. Prior to joining Tandem and co-founding C’watre, Emily spent her time in the government and non-profit sectors. Her successes there included negotiating the support of the Chinese government to sanction a first ever tour of the rarest 17th Century Chinese pottery and successfully navigating the passage of the Federal Buyout Bill as a part of the US House Majority Whip’s team. She studied Political Science and Economics at the College of Wooster and is proud to call St. Louis her hometown.
Gregory Dean - Director of Education
Mr. Dean has over 20 yrs of experience in the Beauty industry. Gregory is a C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Diplomat, a Nationally certified esthetician, with extensive applications in medical esthetics, and has instructed nationally.
He is an award winning, internationally experienced make-up artist and has worked with a wide range of celebrity clientele including former U.S. Presidents, professional models, FOX news channel, as well as the CIA.
